Lombok’s Kuta shares a name with Bali’s tourist drawcard and supposedly resembles the Bali of about 20 years ago. Trading on its good looks, the area has been courting investors for the past several years. But after a five-year buying spree, many investors are sitting on their empty blocks of Lombok heaven, contending with a lack of promised infrastructure.
